Old Empire

Old Empire is a fantasy role playing game, devised by Dr. Gordon Malcolm when he was an undergraduate at St. Andrews University. It has been running continuously since 1979. It is currently run face-to-face around half a dozen times a year for a group of players, about half of whom have played more or less from the start of the campaign.  There are also players who develop their character's storyline remotely.

 

The game is set in a traditional sword and sorcery milieu but is eclectic in its influences. It is drawn on a very broad canvas with an entire world to explore and a multiverse beyond. It has kept us entertained for nearly 45 years.
